Chili Cook Off

If you think you’re the best chef in the land, grab that Chili Recipe, dust off your crockpot and sign up to enter our Chili Cook Off!
We’re hosting a Chili Cook Off during our Oktoberfest event on September 16 – 18th. The competition takes place on Sunday, September 18th at Martinson Hall. Judging occurs from 12:00 – 2:00 pm and the winner will be announced at 3:00 pm. If you’re interested in tasting, let your nose lead you in! Samples are available at $1 per taste and all ticket sales will go directly to the Driftless Historium & Mount Horeb Area Historical Society.
- If you choose to participate we ask that you arrive at 11:00 am to setup. Your chili should be served in a 6 Quart crockpot, pre-cooked and ready to serve. We will provide spoons and 4 oz bowls, samples should be around 2 oz. We encourage you to bring along any garnishes that enhance the taste of your chili.
Judges will choose winners to receive cash rewards for 1st & 2nd Place, as well as People’s Choice. The cost to enter is $25 per participant. Half of the sign up fee will go to the winners of the competition, the other half with go directly to the Driftless Historium & Mount Horeb Area Historical Society.
